Top Restaurant Executive Kickstarts The New Year With New Role As President

NEW YORK - Jan. 5, 2022 - PRLog -- NEW YORK, NY, Arelia Taveras, top restaurant executive and owner of the popular website NYRestaurantChannel.com has been named the 2022 President of the New York State Latino Restaurant, Bar & Lounge Association. For over two decades, Ms. Taveras has been an advocate for minority-owned businesses throughout New York State where she has successfully executed many industry-related programs and legislation.  Since her induction to the association in 2014, Ms. Taveras began as the Executive Director of the NYS Latino Restaurant, Bar & Lounge Association where she brought about industry reform through legislation, advocacy and community activism.

On January 1, 2022, Arelia Taveras took on her new role as the new President of the NYS Latino Restaurant Bar & Lounge Association, culminating her life's work by continuing to work with Latino Restaurant owners struggling to overcome the effects of the Covid-19 Pandemic and the economic challenges it poses to small business owners.

Ms. Taveras along with her new Vice President, Sandra Jaquez, are ready to revitalize the landscape of minority and Latino-owned restaurants as well as guide them with new recovery resources, programs and initiatives to revitalize restaurants across New York State.

The NYS Latino Restaurant, Bar & Lounge Association ("NYSRBLA") is a 501(c)6 non-profit organization founded for the purpose of helping Hispanic and minority businesses succeed in commerce and industry, particularly, that of the food and beverage industry. NYSRBLA is one of the largest business organizations of its kind with over 300 restaurant members to date, ranging from individual Latino businessmen/women owning fast food establishments to gourmet larger restaurants to lounges and bars within the tri-state area. The association's mission is advocacy, business training and legislative reform for the food and beverage industry, while simultaneously creating opportunities for minority-owned businesses throughout New York State.
