NEW CASTLE, Del. - Dec. 26, 2021 - PRLog -- While Escape from Tarkov (EFT) has not officially launched as a finished product, it has been in beta since the last 4 years. Its beta began four years back, with the latest and most controversial update coming out recently. The 0.12.12 update (Escape From Tarkov offical website) included the addition of inertia, changes to the stamina system, addition of VoIP, changes to the weapon malfunctioning system and various other changes to the game mechanics alongside the addition of a new map called Lighthouse.

Prior to this update it was easy for anyone who is experienced at the game to destroy new player using their superior movement skills. But this changed after the recent update that added inertia. The new systems can be overwhelming but you can be aware of them with some useful tips from CaptainCarry.

Inertia

Inertia is a new mechanic that was added with 0.12.12.1 update. It provides more realistic movement mechanics that rely upon character strength and weight being carried to slow down character movements or state transitions.

It can be seen in situations like:
Walking and Strafing
Sprinting
Sharp Turns while sprinting
Landing after jumping from a height
Leaning and sidestepping

The inertial force is directly proportional to your equipment weight and inversely proportional to your Strength skill level. It can affect duration to start moving, duration to stop moving, duration to change directions while moving, decrease in move speed when making a turn while sprinting, duration taken for leaning, sidestepping and returning to normal position. It also affects the duration of the standing to crouch animation, and standing to prone animation, and vice versa. It now costs stamina to stand up after being prone or crouching and the stamina cost depends upon the degree of overload and the number of stance bars that were changed.

Weapon Malfunctions

Three new weapon malfunction mechanics were added with the update that will now function alongside the existing misfires. The three new malfunctions are:
Failure to Eject: After firing, the cartridge gets jammed by the bolt of the gun and is visible on the ejection port. This problem is caused due to the technical condition of the weapon, and rarely the overheating of the weapon and the statistics of the cartridge being used.
Failure to Feed: After firing there are problems with how the new cartridge feeds (round gets stuck in weapon mechanism).

That's it for this 0.12.12 update on Escape From Tarkov, for any help regarding raid carry, level boosts or more reach out to CaptainCarry for additional help.
