- Dec. 22, 2021
-- The Hillsborough Gallery of Arts welcomes in the New Year with its seventh annual statewide juried show, RESOLUTIONS 2022
. This years' RESOLUTIONS show, will run from January 5th
to January 22nd
, 2022 and will showcase the work of artists from across North Carolina.
Following on the success of the previous juried shows, HGA held its open call to artists for RESOLUTIONS 2022 this fall. Artists from throughout the state entered works in a wide variety of media using the online portal, OnlineJuriedShows.com.
Over the years, the exhibit has drawn participation from artists living as far east as Wilmington and as far west as Asheville. The annual RESOLUTIONS exhibits are among a very few art shows dedicated specifically to North Carolina artists. The artist-owners of the Hillsborough Gallery of Arts, have enjoyed the new challenges which have come as the group has undertaken the role of organizing and curating these annual exhibits. Each year's show presents the group with unique situations, testing the artist-group's creativity in new and ever-changing ways.
The guest juror for awards for RESOLUTIONS 2022 will be Linda Dougherty, Curator of American and Modern Art of the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh, N.C.
Due to the resurgence of covid, the Artist's Reception has been cancelled and the Juror's Talk will be posted on the gallery website along with the announcement of awards. Voting for the People's Choice Award will take place in the gallery during the run of the show and the winner will be announced at its close, on the gallery website. All works in the show are for sale.About the Gallery
