Food bags donated by CORE members.

PRLog -- The CORE Association of Realtors, founded in 1921 and currently representing more than 4,800 Realtors in Hunterdon, Mercer, and Somerset counties, today announced it has donated $4,500 to three local charities as part of the celebration of its 100th Anniversary.
The three charities, one in each of CORE's three counties, are:
- Binnacle House – works with at-risk youth by teaching civic engagement and life skills.
- Safe & Sound – provides comprehensive services to survivors of domestic abuse and their families.
- Soldier On – provides veterans with transitional housing and supportive services.
The CORE Community Outreach Committee had selected the three charities as the beneficiaries of its recent Annual Giving Campaign, which provided an additional $1,780 in donations to the charities. Also, during 2021, the Committee held three food drives which raised a total of $3,350 and more than 1.5 tons of food for food banks in Hunterdon, Mercer, and Somerset, including:
1. The Flemington Area Food Pantry
2. HomeFront
3. The Food Bank Network of Somerset County
Also as part of the 100
th anniversary celebration, several local mayors and other notables offered congratulations to the CORE Association of Realtors in a
video.
In 2021, CORE also donated $2,500 to the NAR Realtors Relief Foundation; $3,000 to the New Jersey Realtors Scholarship Foundation, and $1,500 to the New Jersey Realtors Housing Opportunities Foundation. The CORE Association of REALTORS is one of approximately 1,000 local Realtor associations in the U.S. that are local chapters of the National Association of Realtors.
