Hope Clubhouse to host annual Faces of Hope March 10

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Dec. 21, 2021 - PRLog -- Hope Clubhouse announces Faces of Hope, an annual luncheon to benefit mental health services in Southwest Florida, to be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 10 at Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre, 1380 Colonial Blvd. in Fort Myers.

With a theme of "Power of the Past – Focus on the Future," Faces of Hope will feature lunch and a program on how to become a face of hope for people in need and create a brighter future together. Proceeds from the event will support the expansion of Hope Clubhouse, a nonprofit that changes lives by focusing on adults with mental health challenges and sharing resources to help them grow, recover and thrive.

The keynote address will be presented by Joshua Seidman, Ph.D., chief research and knowledge officer with Fountain House, a national organization that spearheaded the Clubhouse movement. The Clubhouse movement is a social practice model being implemented in clubhouses across the world that connects physical clubhouses with access to support, housing and care management for mental health support. Seidman will speak about the history of the Clubhouse movement, how it intersects with public health and why that's important. The keynote will be followed by a panel discussion with Seidman, Ryan Benefiel, a member of the board of directors for Hope Clubhouse, and Damini Parkhi, a community youth mental health advocate. The panel will be moderated by Andryanna Sheppard, consumer investigative reporter for WINK News.

Hope Clubhouse is a healing and mentoring environment for those who have had their lives drastically disrupted by mental illness and need support from others who believe that recovery is possible. The nonprofit provides opportunities for paid employment and access to education, wellness services and housing. As a result, members have fewer hospitalizations, acute episodes and encounters with law enforcement, maintaining housing, employment and generally improved support systems across every aspect of their lives.

"Our programs have helped nearly 700 individuals in the past 10 years, yet the need is greater than ever," said Erin Broussard, CEO of Hope Clubhouse. "Funds raised during the Faces of Hope event will support Hope Clubhouse in expanding our 2,700-square-foot building into a 10,000-square-foot facility that can better serve our growing membership."

Faces of Hope tickets are $75 for adults and $25 for students. Guests can also attend virtually for $15.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for the event, including Title sponsorship at $10,000, Impact sponsorships at $5,000, Aspire sponsorships at $2,500, Hope sponsorships at $1,000, Table sponsorships at $500 and Friend sponsorships at $300.
