The Emmett Till Legacy Foundation presents the Women of Courage Awards in honor of Mamie Till Mobley

MINNEAPOLIS - Dec. 17, 2021 - PRLog -- These women have moved beyond the ordinary to do the extraordinary by making strides to move forward while engaging in action when most others would not; women whose unselfish actions, spirit, and complexities, motivates and inspires others; women whose act of courage makes them stand out among others; and women, some well-known to many and some are the unsung hero to others.

• Toshira Garraway Allen, founder, Families Supporting Families Against Police Violence
• Nekima Levy Armstrong, speaker, leader and advocate for justice
• Valerie Castile, Philanthropist and mother of Philando Castile
• Jo Ann Clark, advocate for educational access
• Monique Cullars-Doty, advocate for support of families who've lost loved ones to police violence
• Dorez Douglas, film and television producer, projects known for amplifying marginalized voices and exposing issues  that impact communities of color
• Melissa Earnest, Justice for Emmett Louis Till advocate, ETLF Ambassador
• Kia Ebron, health professional and mother
• Aunjanue Ellis, Emmy nominated actress and advocate
• Jacqueline Horton, activist
• Rose McGee, advocate, founder of Sweet Potato Comfort Pie
• Eunice J. Miller, teacher and education advocate
• Del Shea Perry, Philanthropist and mother of Hardel Sherrell

Established by the ETLF in 2006, the Women of Courage Awards were a part of the nonprofit's Women's Empowerment Symposium "Loving from the Inside Out" where they hosted a luncheon and presented awards to women who had been nominated and selected.
