Northwestern Mutual-Chicago Announces Partnership with Arrupe College of Loyola University

CHICAGO - Dec. 15, 2021 - PRLog -- Sharing in a goal to open doors of opportunity, Northwestern Mutual-Chicago and Arrupe College of Loyola University have formed a partnership. The collaboration will allow college students to explore career options within the financial services industry while growing their knowledge to champion financial inclusion and economic mobility.

"There is a knowledge deficit around financial education and career opportunities in financial services," said Amani Bryant, director of internship development, Northwestern Mutual-Chicago. "Through our collective efforts, we will work together to empower students and enhance their knowledge of financial planning, making internship opportunities available, and welcoming them into a workspace where their contributions are valued and appreciated."

The partnership will encompass on-site visits, personal financial education and professional development workshops, and opportunities to apply for a financial services internship.

Northwestern Mutual's industry-leading program is a paid internship that introduces students to business-building skills through hands-on experience with coaching, mentoring and training opportunities. In addition, students learn the comprehensive financial planning process and its impact on helping individuals, families, and businesses achieve financial freedom.

Students recently visited the firm's office located in UBS Tower in downtown Chicago touring the workplace, learning about internship opportunities, and networking with team members.

"These experiences help students develop their confidence and feel equipped to pursue their school and career goals, " said Hegeholz. "We are tremendously grateful for the investment that Northwestern Mutual-Chicago is making in our students and are excited to grow this partnership as our students pursue internship opportunities at the company."
