Follow on Google News | THE KRAMPUS descends on Brooklyn's Industry CityDialogue with Three Chords and The Cult of Pop in a double feature of hardcore holiday entertainment: A podcast taping followed by The Krampus: a punk rock play
By: Dialogue with Three Chords The podcast taping starts at 6:00pm on Thursday, December 16 at St. Mark's Comics, followed by THE KRAMPUS in front of Standard Wormwood at 7:30pm, at 68 34th St, Brooklyn, NY 11232. The event boasts food and drink specials by Standard Wormwood Distillery and The Frying Pan NYC. THE KRAMPUS is a lovingly filthy play about the families we make and inherited holiday traditions we break. "It's is about community, chosen family, and the importance of gathering together to overcome trauma through Doom Metal and dirty jokes," explains Gracia. "THE KRAMPUS was our last live presentation before everything went to hell," says LoPorto, "so it feels like the right way to return to live performance. The line between what the characters need and what we all need has been completely erased. We need fellowship, and to feel an exchange of energy, of love, and the light." "I'm so happy that we get to gather again, laugh, sing, and cast off our demons," Gracia adds. Both Gracia and LoPorto are excited to work with bkONE and Cultural Compulsive Disorder, who sponsor the Cult of Pop podcast, in bringing offbeat holiday cheer to Brooklyn.
