Armstrong Garden Centers has been going poinsettias for decades and takes pride in growing the very best poinsettias. They are grown locally in Fallbrook, California using only the best horticultural practices. Each poinsettia is planted in July in a special peat moss soil mixture. This specialized soil blends allows for better moisture retention making watering easier for you. In the growing process, each poinsettia is hand-pinched which is what gives them a nice, full shape. As Christmas approaches the amount of light, they receive is adjusted so the poinsettia leaves color up just in time for the season.
Poinsettia Care Tips
Keeping your poinsettias looking beautiful past the holidays is a breeze. When you bring them home place them indoors in an area that has bright, indirect light and is away from heat sources. If placing poinsettias outdoors, place in a spot that receives six or more hours of sunlight that is protected from the wind. Keep the soil slightly moist to the touch but not soggy. There's no need to feed them—the growing team at Armstrong has already done that for you.
