FORT MYERS, Fla. - Dec. 2, 2021 - PRLog -- The shipping logjam is playing havoc with more than holiday gifts.  The Fort Myers Community Concert Association announced today that one of its concerts for the 2022 season has cancelled due to concerns about their costumes and sets being shipped from Europe on a timely basis.

The Russian National Ballet, which was scheduled to perform "Swan Lake" at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall March 22, has cancelled their entire U.S. tour, according to Community Concert Association President Mary Lee Mann.

However, Mann was quick to book another concert to replace the ballet.  The Bad Boys of Opera will perform on the same March 22 date that was originally scheduled for the Russian National Ballet.  Season tickets already purchased, including for the new concert, will be mailed this month.

The Bad Boys of Opera is a new tour concert production featuring three highly-acclaimed male vocalists who have been called the "finest since The Three Tenors," with individual performance credits including The Metropolitan Opera, New York City Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, and many others.

"They have gotten such rave reviews since being formed that we have tried to schedule them for a couple of years but were unable to, so we are especially excited that they are available at this time to give us such an exceptional return season after having to take our COVID break last year," Mann said.

Individual tickets and season tickets for all five performances of the Community Concert season are available through the Barbara B. Mann box office, 239-481-4849 or visit www.bbmannpah.com

All performances will be at the Barbara B. Mann Hall on the Florida SouthWestern College campus in Fort Myers.  All five concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. and are included in one ticket price, which ranges from $155 for orchestra seats to $85 for lower balcony seating and just $65 for upper balcony.  All $165 prime orchestra seats as well as mezzanine seating is already sold out, Mann said.

With the exception of the Itzhak Perlman concert on March 5, all single tickets cost $55 for orchestra/mezzanine seating; $35 for lower balcony seating; and $25 for upper balcony seating. Single tickets for Itzhak Perlman are $70 each or $80 for prime seating in the orchestra pit.

The Fort Myers Community Concert Association, now in its 72nd concert season, is an all-volunteer not-for-profit organization founded by the legendary Barbara B. Mann in 1949 to bring world-class entertainment to Southwest Florida at affordable prices.
