Year Old Community Podcast Develops into Network Television Show
By: A&R Media
The Rosalyn Kahn Show is a community podcast by Rosalyn Kahn that exists to interview inspiring individuals who have achieved greatness for social justice. A college instructor of communication and public speaking, Kahn started the show a year ago to highlight these individuals.
Recent interviews include Lena Shockley who spoke about how her parents' involvement in the Civil Rights Movement shaped her as a businessperson and inspired her to help others. Shortly after, Vanessa Perez spoke about how she was the first in her family to learn how to play a musical instrument and how learning the violin motivated her to be a scholar and an activist in her community.
"We try to bring inspiring people on the show to highlight that serving your community doesn't have to be difficult. Anybody with a strong enough desire can truly make a difference,"
"The show makes me want to be a better person, and I love tuning in to hear it. I am always excited to 'meet' the next guest," said Mike Weiner, an East Coast CEO who watches the show.
Because of its immense popularity, a Glendale, Calif. based entertainment group has picked up the podcast and is planning to turn it into a television show called The Rosalyn Kahn Show that will reach a global audience. Chow Entertainment was established in 2016 in Los Angeles and is affiliated with KXLA Television Network Channel 44. The organization aims to feature shows that emphasize culture, art, and diversity. Chow Entertainment has a 28-minute television show that plans to feature the Community of Unity interviews.
"We are excited about this partnership and are proud to stand behind such a worldly podcast that is inspiring its viewers," said Lissa Pacheco-Chow, President and Executive Producer of Chow Entertainment.
The founder of the Community of Unity podcast is no novice when it comes to communications. Kahn has been on the TEDx stage three times, is distinguished in Toastmasters International, and has taught at several colleges in the Los Angeles area, including Los Angels City College. She is the author of three books. She is excited to be expanding her reach as a global speaker during the pandemic.
Chow Entertainment and Community of Unity are currently seeking sponsorships for the upcoming television show. For information on rates, contact Chow Entertainment at chowentertainment2016@
