Their advice was, "Don't take your emotions off the stove, you can't do that. Put them on the backburner. When going through the divorce process you need to drive the train with logic and reason. If you trust only the heart you will go back, over and over again. Your mind and heart will both make it through but a successful divorce outcome is led with the mind."

Matthew Brickman is a Supreme Court of Florida certified county civil family mediator who has worked in the 15th and 19th Judicial Circuit Courts since 2009 and 2006 respectively. Mr. Brickman recently graduated both the Harvard Business School Negotiation Mastery Program and the Negotiation Master Class at Harvard Law School.
