Brits Take Advantage of 'Fast Track', Vaccinated Cambodia

BASINGSTOKE, U.K. - Nov. 22, 2021 - PRLog -- In a surprise move last week, Cambodia's Prime Minister Hun Sen announced an immediate end to quarantine for fully vaccinated, international arrivals, and no restrictions on movement within the country. "You just need to wait 15-20 minutes for the rapid test results and then you can continue your journey to any place across the entire country with no limitations, however you wish," the PM said. Not only is Cambodia the most vaccinated country in Southeast Asia and among the Top 10 most vaccinated in the world, it is now also the most open country in Asia.

Neighbouring Thailand opened to tourists at the beginning of November, but the complexity of applying for the necessary 'Thailand Pass' is proving to be an obstacle for some potential visitors.

Comments Robin Ball, Director of Bamboo Travel: "Despite Thailand being open now for three weeks, we have found that some clients have been put off by the arduous process of obtaining the Thailand Pass required for entry.

"Cambodia's fast-track entry process, however, requires nothing more than a negative lateral flow test upon arrival, then visitors are free to travel wherever they want without any restrictions. Added to which, those who choose to travel to Cambodia in the coming months will enjoy plenty of space at the world-famous temples of Angkor, with tourist levels like those not seen since the 1990's. We are telling our clients that this will not last, and to take advantage while they can."

Cambodia – recently voted 'friendliest country in the world' by readers of one of the UK's leading guidebook publishers – offers much for the visitor, and Bamboo Travel has created a range of 'experiences' to enable visitors to really get under the skin of this fascinating destination, for example…

E-bike to Angkor (https://www.bambootravel.co.uk/holidays-to-cambodia/exper...):  The E-bike to Angkor experience provides a chance to discover the temples on a 'pedal assisted' bicycle, which means you still power them with your legs, but the electric motor will maintain speed when you want a rest and help on ascents!  The Giant E+1 bikes have a motor with sensors to detect how much pressure is being applied to the pedals. The motor then adds the level of extra power selected on the handlebar.  The e-bike tour of the temples can be added to several itineraries including the popular 11-day Highlights of Cambodia (https://bambootravel.co.uk/tours/highlights-of-cambodia).  From £2295 per person, including international flights.

Bamboo Travel offsets 1.5 tonnes of carbon for every client they send overseas, supporting renewable energy projects that also create sustainable development benefits for communities in Asia.
