FORT MYERS, Fla. - Nov. 17, 2021 - PRLog -- Holiday cheer is abounding in Southwest Florida thanks to the Tommy Bohanon Foundation, as the organization will host two holiday toy drive events in early December to collect toys and donations for children in need living in the SWFL community.

On Saturday, December 11th, the Tommy Bohanon Foundation's Second Annual Charity Softball Tournament and Toy Drive will be held at the Northwest Cape Coral Softball Complex. Last year, the event raised $15,000 for the children in the Southwest Florida community, and the foundation hopes to surpass that goal at this year's event in order to provide toys for even more children at Christmas time.

Admission to the softball tournament is $10 or an unwrapped toy. Attendees can expect fun for the entire family, from elite softball games, a 50/50 cash raffle, bounce houses, holiday crafts, food trucks, a visit from Santa Claus and more. Every dollar raised during this event will stay local, going directly towards purchasing gifts for children.

"Not only are these events a ton of fun for the entire family, but every dollar raised is going to brighten the holidays for local kids in need," said former NFL player Tommy Bohanon, founder of the Tommy Bohanon Foundation. "The holidays can be really tough for families who are struggling financially, so anything that we as a community can contribute helps. By donating a toy, you are adding a gift underneath someone's Christmas tree, and that opportunity is priceless. We can't wait to see everyone at the tournament and toy drives."

In addition, the Tommy Bohanon Foundation will host a toy drive event on Sunday, December 12th, in partnership with Little Stars 4D Ultrasound, located at 3108 Del Prado Blvd, in Cape Coral. The event will include a bounce house, holiday crafts, photo opportunities with a pony provided by Nature's Organic CBD, and delicious food from Dave's Bangin' BBQ. Admission to the event is an unwrapped toy.

"I am excited to partner with my community and assisting families in need has always been a passion of mine, so, I am excited my business can also be a part of this amazing toy drive with TBF," said Alyssa Schaible, owner of Little Stars 4D Ultrasound.

The Tommy Bohanon Foundation is a nonprofit organization working to ensure that every child can achieve their goals on and off of the field. To learn more about the organization's mission, please visit www.tommybohanonfoundation.org.
