Follow on Google News | Pan-Florida Challenge hosts annual golf tournament and raises record amountBy: CONRIC pr + marketing The tournament included 18 holes of golf, live and silent auctions, dinner and cocktails, a raffle and prizes. All proceeds from the tournament go directly to supporting Pan-Florida Challenge's mission to fund cancer prevention research and education programs while providing cancer-fighting food to undernourished children across the state of Florida. "We are so grateful for our co-chairs, sponsors, players, and volunteers who make this event possible," Jeri Goetz, Executive Director at Pan-Florida Challenge, said. "The tournament is a wonderful day spent with friends and supporters who share our mission of cancer prevention. The tournament raised over $100,000, a 200% increase from the previous event. We are looking forward to our next event, the Pan-Florida Challenge Cancer Ride that will be held on March 26-27. Registration for the ride is now open, and we can't wait to see everyone there." The tournament was held at TPC Treviso Bay, a 7,367 yard Naples golf course that is part of the PGA Tour's Network of Tournament Players Club Courses. In 2009, it was the venue for the annual ACE Group Classic, a tournament of the Champions Tour. It is located on 188 acres, with several holes adjacent to the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Reserve.
