Follow on Google News | Better Together to offer Parents' Night Out Nov. 19, Dec. 11By: Better Together Monthly events will offer parents access to a couple hours of no-cost care for children ages infant through 17 years old. Better Together will provide background-checked volunteers in addition to dinner, games and fun for children to enjoy while parents are away. "As a mother, I know that everyday tasks can become challenging when balancing work, life and hectic schedules. Yet, it's important to dedicate some time to enjoy together as adults or to simply get things done that have been on the backburner," In November, Parents' Night Out will take place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 19 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, located at 5260 28th Ave. SW in Naples, in the church's St. Louis Room. The church is also hosting a trivia night from 7 to 8 p.m. that evening. In December, Parents' Night Out will be held from 12:30 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11 at Mission Community Church, located at 2633 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in downtown Fort Myers. To register for Parents' Night Out, visit BetterTogetherUS.org/ ABOUT BETTER TOGETHER Better Together is a nonprofit organization that helps parents going through a hard time keep their kids out of foster care, find work and address the root causes of their struggle so that they can reunite as a family with the tools and support system to thrive. A privately funded and professionally supported organization, Better Together is made up of volunteers who believe helping people help themselves is the best way to restore dignity and bring families together. Through the Better Families program, families are offered a preventive alternative to foster care while they get the help they need. To date, the program has kept 98% of children served out of foster care. The Better Jobs program was created to address the 76% of families that come to Better Together because of economic hardship tied to unemployment.
