Paperstack joins Techstars Baltimore

BALTIMORE - Nov. 15, 2021 - PRLog -- Paperstack is excited to announce that the company has been selected among only 12 startups to take part in the inaugural Techstars Equitech accelerator program, and the first-ever Techstars cohort in Baltimore, MD.

As the only Canadian company in the Techstars Equitech cohort, Paperstack plans to leverage the 13-week program and Techstars' global network of investors, founders, and mentors to reach more customers, attract venture capital, and grow its team.

Earlier this year, Paperstack developed a fractional CFO for e-commerce sellers, that helps online merchants manage and grow their e-commerce businesses. Clients use the Paperstack platform to automate bookkeeping, visualize cash flows, and get access to growth insights. Those insights empower e-commerce founders to make better cash flow, marketing, and supply chain decisions.

The team is supported by Monica Wheat - a Managing Director of the Equitech program, who's been with Techstars since 2011 - and Ramzy Ismail - venture principal who previously launched Techstars Dubai in 2018 and was involved with Techstars across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Before getting accepted to Techstars, Paperstack got approved to be listed on the Shopify App Store. This milestone brings "Fractional CFO" to over 1.8 million online merchants that use Shopify to manage and grow their e-commerce businesses.

With the Techstars Demo Day scheduled for Feb 24, 2022, Paperstack plans to leverage its growth in 2021 and Techstars' global investor reach to attract a seed round of funding and make its product available on other platforms, including Amazon, WooCommerce, and Wix.
