Psychological Fantasy author Zachary M. Kekac announces debut novel: The Wayfarer
The Wayfarer stands on the rim of insanity, smirking.
A story of psychological recovery and rebirth focusing on the reconciliation of past trauma and restoration of a prosperous life.
By: Tavern Tales
A tale of psychological recovery and rebirth with roots in the traditional fantasy and psychological thriller genres. The Wayfarer explores an eclectic world of original characters, and the debilitating effects of post-traumatic stress on mind and memory.
"Burying hurt is like burying water: it simply seeps into the soil and everything that grows from it."
The Wayfarer, while externally a fantasy with all the trimmings of magic, myth, and mystery, serves internally as a window into the last endeavor of a man searching to heal a wound he doesn't even remember receiving. It is a call to awareness for the great suffering a traumatized mind endures, and a reference to the deep, therapeutic reflection required to remedy it.
Employed in the field of Mental Health, with degrees in both Anthropology and Psychology, author Zachary M. Kekac weds a unique vantage of the human narrative with his passion and admiration for the fantasy genre. He believes fantasy is one of the great forms through which we relate the trials of our shared humanity.
Beyond his work with Mental Health and as an Author, Zachary is also a founder of New England's premier Parkour facility: ROAM Further Athletics, an avid woodsman, and a bit of a troublemaker. Innocent trouble, he promises.
