Producer Tony Sweet Launches Fringe Content Awards To Celebrate Indie Paranormal Documentary Series

Submissions for the First Annual Fringe Content Awards Open on January 1, 2022
LOS ANGELES - Nov. 11, 2021 - PRLog -- Successful podcaster and producer Tony Sweet, CEO of United Broadcasting Network and host of the top-rated TRUTH BE TOLD series, is launching the FRINGE CONTENT AWARDS to celebrate the short and commercial length series, as well as short and feature length documentaries about all things paranormal. Like his own series, Sweet wants to honor the work of others who are dedicating their talents to subjects such as UFOs, Extraterrestrials, Ghosts and Spirits, Hauntings, Cryptozoology, Ancient Mysteries, and more. Submissions for the FRINGE CONTENT AWARDS open on January 1, 2022, exclusively on FilmFreeway.

"I wanted to find a way to showcase and highlight the work of other content creators who have an affinity for the same subject matter as me," says Sweet. "Sometimes it feels like there is still prejudice or a stigma attached to conversations around the paranormal. If celebrating these topics and the creators who are documenting them helps to free them from judgement, then that's a great thing."

The FRINGE CONTENT AWARDS will accept submissions through April 30, 2022, with finalists being notified by May 21, 2022. Final judging will take place on May 28, 2022 with award notifications within 7 days. Creators may submit content in four categories: short-form documentary series (less than 28 minutes), commercial-length documentary series (29-80 minutes), short-form documentary film (less than 39 minutes), and feature-length documentary films (40-120 minutes) be judged by a panel of industry professionals. Finalists will receive digital laurels via the FilmFreeway platform. Winners will receive digital laurels, a framed certificate, and physical prizes. Judges, sponsors, and prizes will be announced before the Regular Deadline on March 31.

Over the past decade, Sweet has built a successful video streaming and podcasting brand with TRUTH BE TOLD. He has interviewed experts in a variety of paranormal fields. His content has millions of audio downloads and YouTube views. In addition to producing his own series, he is the executive producer on other series for his Burbank-based United Broadcasting Network.
