Leading Children's Book, Becoming A Superhero Vows To Educate with Fun

ATLANTA - Nov. 4, 2021 - PRLog -- C. Ariane Durden is the proud author of the children's book, Becoming a Superhero endorsed by 8 time Mr. Olympia winner, Lee Haney. Becoming a Superhero encourages children to eat healthy foods and exercise through play. The idea stemmed from Ariane's background as a nutrition educator who has spent the last decade advocating good nutrition and exercises as means to fight childhood obesity.

Ariane's literary debut was inspired by the efforts of former First Lady Michelle Obama's school lunch initiative and written in dedication to raising a healthier generation of kids.  The content and illustrations do an amazing job of showing youth effective ways to make healthier decisions when it comes to proper diet and exercising.

"First Lady Michelle Obama is my business icon.  I was inspired by her Let's Move! Initiative while I was studying nutrition in Dr. Cotwright's class at UGA in 2014."

As an active member of the National Organization of Blacks in Dietetics and Nutrition, her overall mission is to aid lowering rates of childhood obesity, which between 2017 and 2018, stood at 19.3%.

Becoming a Superhero has received two Independent Press Awards, which are given to "those who exhibit the courage, innovation, and creativity to bring about change in the world of publishing."
