Compass Celebrates a Month of Non-Profit Partnership

Compass is proud to have worked with three non-profit groups during October.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Nov. 2, 2021 - PRLog -- October has been a month of non-profit events at Compass. This month's auction lineup began with Pistols at the Prison on October 9th, a two-day gun show and live firearm auction located at and in partnership with the Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary attraction in Petros, TN. Two Dawn of Defense rifles were sold in this auction, with all of the proceeds from the guns going to two local Morgan County non-profits: MoCo Mutts Rescue Center and the Morgan County STEM program.

The following Friday evening, October 15th, saw the debut of Havana Nights Chattanooga, an event benefitting Real Men Wear Pink, an fundraising organization for the American Cancer Society. Compass provided Havana Nights with the digital infrastructure to conduct a luxury auction that evening, featuring items like all-inclusive trips, sporting event tickets, and private tours.

The MoCo Mutts Rescue Center is an animal shelter operating in Sunbright, Tennessee. Morgan County currently does not have an official animal shelter or animal control service, which motivated MoCo Mutts founder Lisa Hill to create the non-profit in 2018. To learn more about MoCo Mutts, visit their website at MoCoMuttsRescueCenter.org.

The Morgan County STEM program aims to engage students with real-world problem solving in the classroom while developing education in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The program has received recognition as recently as 2020, when Petros-Joyner Elementary received a STEM designation from the Tennessee Department of Education. To learn more about this program, visit the Morgan County Schools Homepage (https://www.mcsed.net/).

Havana Nights was put in motion by REthink Luxury, a real estate team of Trey Corum and Jon Chadwick. The event was inspired by the diagnosis of HER2+ breast cancer in Chadwick's wife Aimee, who is the founder and President of the cancer treatment non-profit Jamie's Wish Foundation.
