Physical therapists serve meals at Las Vegas Rescue Mission in honor of PT Day of Service

LAS VEGAS - Oct. 28, 2021 - PRLog -- A team of 10 volunteers from FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers helped serve hot meals at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission through a companywide initiative to promote volunteerism and community service.

Staff from FYZICAL, a physical therapy practice with multiple locations in Las Vegas and Henderson, visited the rescue mission on Oct. 9 in recognition of PT Day of Service, an international service project that gives those in the physical therapy profession an opportunity to lead and serve in their own communities.

Over the years, FYZICAL clinics have supported a variety of charitable causes, including hunger, health and welfare, the environment and more.

"As physical therapists, we change lives every day by helping patients improve their health and well-being," said Dr. James Mortensen, a physical therapist and FYZICAL's Nevada regional director. "We also want to enhance the communities where we live and work, and our PT Day of Service projects each year allow our team to impact lives in a different way."

The Las Vegas Rescue Mission serves those in need through food, shelter, daily needs and addiction recovery. The mission provides about 30,000 meals each month.
