For the spectacular Delhi Durbar in 1911, Queen Mary wore a stunning Art Deco emerald choker that would later be given to Princess Diana as a wedding gift from Queen Elizabeth.

Ever being a fairly expensive gemstone, emerald remains high in demand in national and international markets. Panna prices begin from ₹ 800  and may go to 2 lakh ($3076) per carat, depending on the origin, clarity, color and size of the gemstone.
