Follow on Google News | ![]() Gourmet Christmas Returns to Tyddyn Llan, North WalesBy: Tyddyn Llan Located in the Berwyn Mountains on the edge of the village of Llandrillo, near Corwen, the special three-night package commences with afternoon tea served from 3pm on Christmas Eve, Friday 24 December. Later that evening, Bryan and his team will conjure up a magnificent five-course dinner with a French theme, starting with Champagne and canapés. Dishes will include griddled scallop, with cauliflower puree, pancetta, caper and raisin dressing, poached turbot and langoustine with Champagne sauce, and Chateaubriand of Welsh Black beef en chevreuil, and Sarladaise potato. Christmas morning will start with a light continental breakfast, followed by a four-course lunch of traditional British fare. Choices will include Label Anglais free range bronze turkey, with bread sauce, apricot and chestnut stuffing, cranberry relish and pigs in blankets, roast Goosnargh duck, with sage and onion stuffing, prune and bacon rolls and apple sauce, and roast sirloin of Welsh black beef, with Yorkshire pudding and horseradish sauce. In the evening, a festive buffet or a light supper will be available (depending on guidelines) from 8.30pm. On Boxing Day, a full breakfast will be served until 10.00am, and in the evening guests will enjoy a six-course dinner of Italian festive favourites featuring wild mushrooms, truffles and seafood. A final cooked breakfast on Monday 27 will be served before guests depart.
