The Church Is Investigated When It Breaks Law--Shouldn't We Also Investigate?

LOS ANGELES - Oct. 6, 2021 - PRLog -- With 1.3 billion members and reports of hundreds of thousands abused by priests, how does the church keep its members and how do priests get paid to forgive sins when their example shows it's not working? asks Richard Ruhling, author on current events and Bible topics.

Revelation 18 calls everyone to come out of Babylon which may include corrupted systems of all nations-- medical care, education, government, economy and religions, and the US has its share, claims Ruhling, adding that pharmakeia is the Greek word that deceives all nations in Revelation 18:23.

Christians should appreciate the words of Christ—He said, "Call no man Father," Matthew 23:9. "Use not vain repetitions like the heathen," Matthew 6:7, and one of the pope's titles, "Lord God the Pope" is like the "great words against the Most High in Daniel 7:25, a verse that also identifies the papacy as changing times and laws—it changed Sabbath to Sunday and instituted the Gregorian Calendar that begins each month with no relationship to the New Moon that God instituted in Exodus 12:2, says Ruhling.

He claims the pope is as phony as a $3 bill and wonders how he manages to keep his membership, but then realizes that human nature likes to do its thing and be assured that it's okay after paying the priest, but this cheapens Christ's death for our sins, God paid a far higher price for us and we are not our own to do as we please—Christians recognize His ownership and seek to live by God's guidelines, says Ruhling.
