Follow on Google News | PulseSync Receives Fit for Life Award 2021 for Innovation and ImpactBy: Pulse Sync Jointly launched with Lien Foundation in 2015, Gym Tonic® is a targeted strength-training program that aims to combat frailty and sarcopenia in people over 60 years of age, helping seniors to stay strong and healthy to enjoy their golden years. To date, PulseSync has worked closely with over 30 eldercare providers to equip them with safe hydraulic exercise machines, measuring equipment, evidence-based assessments, and AI-driven software to help run Gym Tonic's structured strength training program safely and effectively. The program has since benefited over 5,000 seniors, with most of them experiencing a 20-30% significant improvement in muscle strength which enable daily activities such as walking, stair climbing, balance, or carrying grocery bags. Furthermore, 41% of nursing home patients considered "frail" improved to "pre-frail" upon completion of the program. The winning factors for Laureates include driving innovative, sustainable and scalable programs which are focused on beneficiaries' needs. In addition, the Laureates are key leaders which demonstrated both operational excellence on top of impacting with evidence. Fit for Life Award grants EUR 100,000 disbursed over three years to support scale-up efforts and promote public awareness on the importance of healthy aging for communities. End
