-- PROFESSOR (DR) EDMUND KWAW, Associate Professor of Law, and previously Head of the Department of Private Law at the UPSA Law School, Accra, has, following his retirement, been appointed Head of Department at the Faculty of Law at the Wisconsin International University College. Professor Kwaw is also currently the Acting Executive Director of the Ghana Institute of Advanced Legal Studies. Professor Edmund Kwaw brings extensive experience, in excess of thirty (30) years, in diverse capacities in tertiary education, to the position. was the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Governance and International Relations at Kings University College, and also Vice-President of the University. Before that, he lectured at several tertiary institutions in Ghana and Ontario, Canada. He is also an external examiner for the doctoral degree programs in law at the University of Pretoria and the University of Johannesburg in South Africa. Professor Kwaw has authored numerous and widely read peer-reviewed journal papers and academic textbooks, straddling a multiplicity of subjects including, sustainable development, corporate finance, tort law, international banking & finance, and international trade and investment; as well as fictional works, such as the highly acclaimed The Chameleon's Journey. ) When contacted for a comment on his new appointment, Professor Kwaw stated that he is delighted by the appointment, and he will do his part, and work with the Dean and management of Wisconsin to make the Faculty of Law of Wisconsin one of the best in the country.
