NEW Ski, Spa and Sushi Winter Treats at Naturhotel Forsthofgut
An investment of over £10million has created a new waldSPA Seehaus overlooking their chemical-free swimming lake housing 3 spacious loft suites, each with sauna and loggia, and a new restaurant – Mizūmi -where skilled itamae prepare Japanese specialities and unusual Japanese-Alpine fusion dishes from a central show-kitchen. The new spa facilities include 3 treatment rooms, relaxation room, Onsen pool (42°c) and traditional washroom. The lake has been enlarged to add an infinity pool and floating Finnish lake sauna. Open year-round, the superb design exploits stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
The original waldSPA Family & Kid's facilities have been extended, allowing couples to relax in a child-free sanctuary while kids play in their zone. Improvements include a new textile sauna area, sizeable relaxation room, 21m indoor pool, extensive water play features and a range of pools and water slides for all ages.
For skiers, Forsthofgut's location is hard to beat. A piste runs past the door and the Asitz lift is just 200m for fast easy access to the Skicircus area (270km of piste) shared by Leogang, Saalbach, Hinterglemm and Fieberbrunn. This connects to Zell am See-Kaprun (138km of piste) providing a total of 408km of world-class piste skiing and plentiful off-piste.
The hotel's location is equally attractive to non-skiers, who can explore on wonderful snowshoe and winter hiking trails, toboggan runs and sleigh rides.
