Basket Raffle To Be Held In Support Of Dedicated L&M Nurse

Funds raised from this upcoming Basket Raffle will be used to assist Virginia in her courageous fight against ovarian cancer.

NEW LONDON, Conn. - Sept. 23, 2021 - PRLog -- A Basket Raffle Benefit is being held starting Monday, Sept. 27, 2021 in support of Virginia "Ginny" Olsen, a dedicated Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Yale New Haven Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London who has provided decades of compassionate health-care service to those in need.

Funds raised from this upcoming Basket Raffle will be used to assist Virginia in her courageous fight against ovarian cancer.

The event will be held on the green across from Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, 365 Montauk Avenue in New London on Monday, Sept. 27th, Tuesday, Sept. 28th, Thursday, Sept 30th, and Friday, Oct. 1st from 7:30 to 4:30 p.m. and also on Saturday, Oct. 2nd from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. (There is no event on Wednesday, Sept. 29th.)

In case of rain, the raffle benefit will be held at the Union Office at 43 Converse Place in New London.

In addition to the wide variety of baskets available at this raffle benefit event, food trucks will also be on hand with delicious food offerings, including Luigi's Wood Fire Pizza on Monday, Sept. 27th from 11 a.m. to 1:30 pm; Uncle D's Blazing BBQ, from 11 a.m. to 2 pm. on Tuesday, Sept. 28th; OzNBones BBQ from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 30th; and Captain Scott's Lobster Dock on Friday, Oct. 1st from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Saturday, Oct. 2nd El Punto Del Sabor will be featured from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The winners for each of the beautiful baskets being raffled to support Virginia Olsen's courageous fight will be chosen on Saturday, Oct. 2nd at 2 p.m.

All members of the public are encouraged to participate in this important fundraising event to show their support and provide financial assistance for Virginia Olsen, who has dedicated her working life to always helping others during their time of need.
