The award is given each year to someone who exemplifies the organization's values, compassion, and dedication and who has been significantly generous with their time and support of the Kids Beating Cancer mission.
On this occasion, the person awarded is Dr. Francelis Gonzalez who was selected for the impact that her altruism and dedication have had on the organization.
Dr. Francelis Gonzalez, better known as Dr. G., is a well-known face of the Central Florida social and professional scenes. Awarded by organizations such as Orlando Magazine, Don Quijote Awards and others, she is known for her philanthropic actions in favor of the arts and children.
"Being the first woman or first Hispanic to receive recognition for a work done with love is always an honor. But this time it's something particularly special," said Dr. Francelis Gonzalez. "As a doctor specializing in pediatrics with different clinics in Central Florida, this particular organization touches my heart as it is part of my personal and professional mission and legacy to promote the well-being of children."
The event that still has some seats available is one of the most awarded and recognized galas with local attendees as well as attendees who come from other states. Tickets starting at $ 400 can be found at www.hatsandheroesball.com
