Pennsylvania Tuba Player Fulfills Lifelong Dream of Owning a Mid-Year Corvette!

GRAVETTE, Ark. - Sept. 22, 2021 - PRLog -- The Classic Corvette Dream Giveaway, a nationwide drawing sponsored by New Beginning Children's Homes, ended on July 27, 2021. John Householder, a Pennsylvania resident, is the grand-prize winner of a concours-restored 1966 Corvette Sting Ray convertible, plus $30,000 towards the prize taxes!

It was Mr. Householder's donation to New Beginning Children's Homes on January 16th, 2021, to enter the Classic Corvette Dream Giveaway that ended up landing him the winning ticket. "The best part is the feeling of contributing to a worthy cause, and then, of course, comes the car," he said. "Helping the charities involved was the most valuable aspect of this," he said. "In this case, it was for the sponsor charity, which is a cause dear to my heart. I have run hundreds of miles with a blind runner including the 100th Anniversary Boston Marathon in 1996. He was raised in a children's home in Columbus, Ohio – a short distance from where I was born near Delaware, Ohio."

On August 12, 2021, Mr. Householder received the congratulatory telephone call giving him the exciting news. "When I got the call and learned I had won, I was in disbelief," he said. "My lifelong dream of owning a mid-year Corvette had actually come true after owning a white 1970 Corvette convertible for over 25 years."

Mr. Householder is an engineer by training and he spent six years in the aerospace industry followed by over 40+ years in the barcoding industry, mostly in a sales/marketing capacity, which allowed him to travel the world. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, working on his Corvette, and playing tuba in a brass group. He is currently self-employed in the Automatic Identification Industry and represents a UK company in that space.
