MIAMI - Sept. 17, 2021 - PRLog -- The Latin American Business Association (LABA), Buena Vida Media and Florida Venture Foundation kicked off Hispanic Heritage Month by commemorating the launch of the Latina Economic Advancement Project (LEAP) with the unveiling of "The Flowers of Latin America" painting by prolific artist Elizabeth Erazo Báez and a limited-edition scarf of the painting on September 15, 2021.

The Cocktails & Art Event took place at Miami-Dade College Hialeah Campus, a beacon of modern architecture at the entrance to Hialeah, "The City that Progresses." The event opened with a welcome by Dr. Anthony Cruz, Campus President, expressing commitment to economic empowerment for all and to fueling the economy of the area. Wine41 poured libations and Got Food Catering provided a bountiful repast of delightful bites to the guests at the spacious and socially distanced venue. CareMax and Miami-Dade College Hialeah were also sponsors of the event.

"Latinas have suffered the greatest economic loss during the pandemic over all other groups. LEAP is calling on corporate America to become truly effective allies to Latina business owners in their fight for economic survival, stability, and advancement in the US," declared Alina Delgado, Chairwoman, LABA.

LEAP focuses on three primary goals for Latina business owners: survivability grants, educational opportunities, access to capital for growth. There are opportunities to contribute to LEAP through the purchase of the limited-edition "The Flowers of Latin America" scarf.  The original "The Flowers of Latin America" painting is also up for auction with a starting bid of $1,500.00. The winning bid will be announced at the Tropical Nites Soiree to be held at the Miami Outboard Club, October 16th, 7:30 p.m.  For bids and purchase information contact: info@LABA.us.
