Galen Robotics 2021 winner of Best Robotic Company in the Field of Surgical Robotics

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Oct. 26, 2021 - PRLog -- MedTech Visionaries Awards have concluded their 2nd Annual program to provide recognition to innovative leading edge companies with increased visibility to a sector that continues to make a positive impact in how we view our world and interact with it.  Based on the pool of entries the MVA's judges selected Galen Robotics as the 2021 winner of the Best Robotic Company in the Field of Surgical Robotics.

The judges loved that Galen is developing a single-platform, multi-purpose solution to aid surgeons across several disciplines with minimal disturbance to existing workflows. Galen is researching technologies to assist surgeons in  minimally invasive surgeries in the areas of neurosurgery, head & neck and spine surgery.  Galen Robotics was founded in 2016 to commercialize the research coming out of the Laboratory of Computational Sensing and Robotics of Johns Hopkins University under the guidance of Professor Dr. Russell Taylor. The Galen robot is on track for FDA submission early 2022.
