Sage Brain Academy LLC, opens in St. Johns County as exclusive area Montessori-based memory program
Ginny Bullard CDP, CMDCP and Jim Barber CDP, CMDCP, recently opened a new business, Sage Brain Academy, offering interactive in-person classes, virtual, and private coaching sessions to enhance the lives of people with varying degrees of memory loss.

Bullard and Barber are Certified Dementia Practitioners (CDP) and Certified Montessori Dementia Care Professionals (CMDCP). According to Bullard, the Montessori learning environment and curriculum is developed for people with mild cognitive impairment and is renowned for being "active by doing" learning and fostering independence. The programming also encourages a passion for lifelong learning at all levels of cognition.
Classes include activities involving mental dexterity, cognitive cross-training, intentional movement exercises, music, art, and social engagement, and caregiver respite. Classes are offered Monday through Thursday from 9 am until 2 pm with half or full-day sessions ranging from $20 to $100 per person. With advance notice, a free trial first class can be scheduled.
