The working principle
The helically shaped rotor is the crux of the matter for this turbine flow meter. It rotates at a frequency to align with that of the present flow rate. Magnets attached to the periphery of the blades generate currents or pulses in the sensors around it inside the body of the turbine. Each rotation is thus registered with the help of these pulses.

The helical blade is supported by two strong cross-sections with wear-resistant tungsten carbide bearings and is fitted inside a recoverable stainless steel cartridge. Furthermore, with the help of a locking ring, this entire cartridge is fixated within the body of the flow meter.

Every pulse that is released throughout the flowmeter is proportional to particular quantities of fluid. The operation and test/calibration techniques of turbine flowmeters are defined by this principle. The K factor is considered the number of pulses corresponding to a specific fixed fluid volume.
