Peak Physical Therapy & Sports Performance Partners with Pembroke Titan Football and Cheerleading

Pre-season screening included: Pulse oximetry monitoring; Postural stance assessment; Range of motion and strength of the neck/shoulder muscles; Reflex assessment; Ocular function assessment (eyes) for tracking objects; and Balance and coordination assessment on even and uneven surfaces
These evaluations are baseline assessments prior to the season. If at any time during the season a child sustains any type of injury, another evaluation will be performed by one of the many Peak physical therapists trained in concussion management. The assessments can then be used to assess whether medical treatment is needed and when a child can safely return to sports activities.
"We are pleased to partner with PTFC and their families in this important pre-screening."
"We are excited to be able to offer concussion baseline testing as part of our commitment to the safety and health of all of our young athletes," said Greg Quinlan, Vice President of Football for PTFC. "As an organization we have continued to grow because we are about more than sports, we are focused on the development, safety and health of our children."
