Inner Strength Teen Mindfulness Program Shows Promising Results In Syracuse University Study

PHILADELPHIA - Aug. 26, 2021 - PRLog -- Inner Strength, a 501(c)3 non profit educational organization, is proud to announce the first published research about the innovative Inner Strength Teen Mindfulness Program. Conducted by Dr. Rachel Razza, Dr. Dessa Bergen-Cicio, Staceyann Reid, and Rachel Linser Uveges of Syracuse University, The Benefits of Mindfulness for Promoting Resilience Among At-Risk Adolescents: Results From the Inner Strength Teen Program shows exciting results from Inner Strength's flagship teen program. The study examined the effectiveness of Inner Strength's 12-week in-school mindfulness curriculum for at-risk, urban youth. Findings indicated significant benefits for self-compassion and also provided evidence that the program supports self-regulation. The full study can be found in the April 2021 Special Issue of the ECNU Review of Education.
