Adventurous glass igloo stay in Finland

Many people have heard about glass igloos in Finnish Lapland, which were planned mainly as winter-time accommodation options and for seeing the northern lights. But what if there were glass igloos that were planned for year-round use instead?
RANUA, Finland - Aug. 26, 2021 - PRLog -- This kind of option has been available for almost two years now. One of the first places to experience a year-round igloo accommodation experience can be found in the small town of Ranua in Finnish Lapland, where Arctic Guesthouse & Igloos, a family business is running its business with ten fully movable glass igloo boats called AuroraHuts.

Unlike normal and glass igloos, the AuroraHuts found on the shores of Lake Ranua are freely movable igloos all year round. In summer, the igloos turn into floating boats moving from one place to another powered with electric engines, and in winter they can be towed around the frozen lake with either a snowmobile or an ATV.

Year-round experience

The glass igloos' free movability also means year-round accommodation experience. In winter the igloos can be placed in a desired and usually dark place for northern lights photography sessions and in summer they can be "driven" around lake Ranuanjärvi and people can enjoy for example the famous midnight sun of Lapland's summer, jump to swim to the glass igloo's wooden deck or even anchor the igloo middle of the lake for a nap.
