Empower our teen community with The Like Me CIC's FREE Hybrid Summer Camp

LUTON, U.K. - Aug. 19, 2021 - PRLog -- We at The Like Me CIC are organising a Girls Summer Camp from the 23rd August – 26th August for girls aged 13-17. The past year has been incredibly tough for school children with school life being unstable. For some girls, home might also be a place of volatility & school might've been a refuge as it was for Jasmine. Jasmine Mbye is a Speaker, Trainer, Coach & Director of The Like Me CIC. Jasmine recognises that due to Covid being a disruptor, they might not have the environment where they can feel safe, seen & supported. Therefore, we're organising virtual as well as in-person workshops.

From Mon-Thurs we'll have virtual zoom sessions in the morning led by Jasmine, focusing on personal development. The in-person workshops will be held in the afternoon at Marsh Farm Futures House. There'll be an art workshop by Sophie Gresswell, a self-defence workshop by Dan Butler & a workshop by Boxing Saves Lives. We'll also have a cake decorating & Bring Your Own Role Model session. It will be an inspirational session for the girls as we will together reflect on the people we look up to.

Our Summer Camp is a community event for girls to find their inner strength, prepare for their future and learn life skills. Jasmine has taken this initiative so that we can help better equip girls to tackle the hardships that come their way, since she realises that had this happened for her, it would've helped her. Our aim is to empower girls so that they can walk with their head held high. The event is completely free, to find out more information or register, visit: https://buff.ly/2VzDR28. We would appreciate the support of the community & organisations because of your donations we are empowered to make more of a difference in the lives of our girls. If you would like to help empower girls, you can donate to our GoFundMe Campaign: https://buff.ly/2VACYGu .
