ATLANTA - Aug. 16, 2021 - PRLog -- Around 70 percent of Americans have experienced trauma in their lives1, often during childhood.

A new children's book series with an interactive website and mobile app aims to help children heal from the visible and invisible scars of traumas like domestic abuse and bullying.

The prequel to the six-part "Exquisite Team" book series, "Beyond the Scars," is now available from author A.C. Morris and publisher Exquisite Mercy, LLC. The second "Ex Team" book, Exquisitely You, will be released in October. The third book, "Superstars," will be launched in November.

The companion Ex Team website will allow young readers to access a journal with positive affirmations and other resources, with a mobile app to be launched at the end of this year. They can also use the confidential recovery platform to get matched to support services.

The mission of Ex Team is to provide children with meaningful tools, guidance, and education to carve their lives into a better version through social-emotional learning, assisting in shifting mindsets, and empowering children to be their unique positive self. The goal is to help children persist beyond the interruption of trauma, building their self-confidence and self-worth so they can continue their happy journeys in life.

"We help kids transform a wounded inner environment into positive and healthy one through positive affirmations," Morris said. "We want to change their perception of themselves and open their minds to all the beautiful possibilities when they overcome their personal challenges. We do this by going that extra mile, creating an honest and transparent environment to better meet the needs of children by bringing our unique educational guidance and social-emotional learning tools to work as we serve with value to help each child feel respected, valued, and equally included."

Morris is currently completing books three through six in the Exquisite Team series.

"As our world faces the stigma against mental illness, it has never been more important to address the mental health of our children," Morris said. "My hope is to create a hub for children of all ages and their families to access valuable resources to help them navigate their feelings and find lasting recovery as they grow into mentally healthy and charismatic human beings."
