Salient Ocean Adventures - New website launched

VANCOUVER, British Columbia - Aug. 15, 2021 - PRLog -- After campaigning Salient during local and international yacht races, including the 2018 Vic-Maui Race, we have decided to take a break from racing and explore B.C.'s West Coast in a more leisurely cruising mode. We started in 2019 with an excursion to the Broughton Archipelago, followed in 2020 exploring Desolation Sound and in 2021 we decided to drop anchor in some of the lesser known bays on Johnstone Strait as well as the Discovery Islands.

We are a family of three including Christof, Andrea and our son Leonardo. Together we have cruised these waters over the past decade starting our first excursions before Leo was born on a San Juan 24, upgraded to a Dufour 31 when the family grew and in 2016 acquired Salient with the goal of participating in the Vic-Maui race.

Our latest adventures took as beyond Desolation Sound into the Discovery Islands and the lesser travel eastern portion of Johnstone Strait. Along the way we saw close to two dozen humpback whales and a few Orcas, discovered an abandoned gold mine and swam in fresh mountain lakes.
