Goodwill & Urban Strategies, Inc. schedule Sept. 30 job fair

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Aug. 10, 2021 - PRLog -- Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida (SWFL) and Urban Strategies, Inc. will conduct a job fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 30 at the Dr. Carrie Robinson Event Center, 2990 Edison Ave., Ft. Myers.

"We would like to see anyone seeking employment on Lee County to make a connection and get hired," states Tim Goodman, Goodwill SWFL Employer Relations Specialist. "We also want to promote the event in the Dunbar community, providing opportunity for people to get connected with quality employers."

The event is sponsored by the Lee County Homeless Coalition. Employers scheduled to attend include: CareerSource, City of Ft. Myers, Goodwill SWFL, Providence Family Life Center, Waste Pro, Ft. Myers Technical College, Lee County School District, Shalimare & Panache, Publix, Walmart, Hyatt Regency, The Inns of Sanibel, LeeHealth, RAMS, Cape Coral Technical College, Outrigger Beach Resort, Sanibel-Captiva Beach Resorts, City of Sanibel Recreation Dept.,  Sunstream Hotels & Resorts, Lee County Government, Ft. Myers Police Dept., A Better Healthcare, Liberty Aluminum, Charley's Boat House, Luminary Hotel, Minc Masonry, MBA Transportation, Primerica, Bealls Outlet, Therapy Dog's Rock, AMI Kids and LSF.

Participants are asked to dress professionally and bring resumes. Those needing help with resume writing or interviewing skills, can contact a Goodwill SWFL Community Resource Center (CRC) prior to the event for assistance. Goodwill's CRCs offer employment services and free computer skills training. Goodwill Southwest Florida is a non-profit organization that utilizes the selling of donated goods to employ more than 800 individuals in Southwest Florida.
