IndieBoom Music Contest Gets Musicians More Fans and More Money
Streaming film festival IndieBoom is launching a new contest just for independent musicians, with a first prize of $250 and chances to sell their songs on the IndieBoom platform. Entries are open until Aug. 31 and the contest runs Sept.13-24, 2021.
Independent musicians in all genres are eligible to enter from Aug.1 to Aug. 31. Official selections will be added to IndieBoom's new Bandcamp page for the duration of the contest, Sept.13-14, 2021. At the end of the fest, the winner will be determined by total number of plays of their song. More info and the entry form can be found at https://www.indieboomff.com/
All songs will be 100% free to listen to, and musicians will promote across social media to get fans to listen to their work. The top 5 songs will have the option to sell their work through the IndieBoom site and keep all their earnings. Artists retain all ownership and copyrights to their music.
"We've had great success with our streaming film festival, which gives motivated filmmakers a fun, unique way to promote and engage their networks to help them win. We're excited to give indie musicians the same opportunity to get new fans and win money, which are things every emerging artist needs to succeed," said Anthony DeVito, co-creator of IndieBoom.
IndieBoom uses the power of social media to help indie filmmakers and musicians build their careers, and was created in 2017 by The Art of Brooklyn, a 501(c)(3) arts organization dedicated to celebrating and showcasing diverse creative voices in NYC and around the world. The Art of Brooklyn's 11th annual international film festival took place in June 2021.
