Author Announces Upcoming Sequel!

ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. - Aug. 8, 2021 - PRLog -- Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc., of Johnson City, Tennessee, is proud to announce the upcoming virtual launch for the second novel in Courtnee Turner Hoyle's Pale Woods Mystery Series.

Courtnee Turner Hoyle resides in Erwin, Tennessee with her children and husband. She enjoys reading, writing, and exploring the timeless mysteries of her hometown. She never stops learning, and grows with her community through volunteer organizations. Hoyle's debut novel, My Brother's Keeper, is the first in her Pale Woods Mysteries Series and was released Summer 2020.

In My Brother's Keeper seventeen-year-old Jerrod struggles with the guilt of his actions for an event that took place almost a year ago. His friends have abandoned him, his family ignores him, and he's lost his best friend. To make matters worse, he is unable to access records that may have revealed his father's whereabouts. His sister, Ella, guides Jerrod as he tries to learn and accept secrets his family has tried to hide. However, a sinister spirit may be influencing Ella's actions, and it has an agenda of its own.

The upcoming sequel, Pinky Swear, is set to release in late Summer 2021. Hoyle plans to celebrate the upcoming release with a virtual book launch, held via Zoom, on August 26^th at 7:00 pm EST.

In Pinky Swear, after a heartbreaking loss, thirteen-year-old Sydney Miller develops a toxic friendship with her classmate, Lydia Sneed. When the relationship comes to an end and a spirit influences an almost fatal accident, Sydney strengthens her bond with her grandfather and decides to live with him. Sydney finally finds the love and support she needs in her grandfather's home, but Lydia begs her for help, and together they must solve a murder that will change their lives forever.
