The beloved character named Dorothy was originally found in the The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum and published in 1900.  The children's book became a classic in literature.  In 1939, it was developed into a movie titled The Wizard of Oz where Dorothy won our hearts and who Judy Garland made famous in American culture.
