Allied Cultures hosts A World Humanitarian Day Collection Drive and Fundraiser

VAN NUYS, Calif. - Aug. 7, 2021 - PRLog -- Allied Cultures hosts A World Humanitarian Day Collection Drive and Fundraiser

Location, Date:
– Allied Cultures will host this event at the parking lot of Central Lutheran Church, located at 6425 Tyrone Ave Van Nuys, CA 91401. The event will be held on Saturday, August 21 from 12 pm to 5 pm.

The "A World Humanitarian Day Collection Drive and Fundraiser" hosted by Allied Cultures will serve to collect hygiene supplies and cash donations for the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to support its Dignity Kit program locally and internationally, which has aided Los Angeles County and the countries of Armenia and Lebanon to date. RSVPs are encouraged online at https://www.facebook.com/events/4475797255783998.

Registration for the event is free. All participants will receive a free taco with a donation of a hygiene supply. Tacos, water bottles, sno-cones and a silent auction will also be provided at the event for purchase.

The collection drive starts at 12:00 PM. Various tents and collection areas will be set up in the parking lot for physical-distancing and COVID-19 compliance. Masks will be worn by all event staff.

"This is our first event hosting this collection drive in person. Last year we were able to accomplish our goal with a virtual campaign that served the needs of Lebanon and Armenia following the disastrous explosion and displacement, respectively. This year we have focused on localizing our effort by hosting this event in the largest community in the San Fernando Valley – Van Nuys – to better assist our homeless population with essential hygiene and continued list of supplies needed to maintain their dignity amid the coronavirus pandemic. With the help of the local community, we anticipate doubling our collection goal for this year," said Talin Keshishian-Walker, the Founding Board Member.
