"Chique Rakhi Bracelet: Our Vow To Protect"

SURREY, British Columbia - Aug. 7, 2021 - PRLog -- A local Indo-Canadian boutique, chique launches the 'Rakhi' bracelet strives to raise $13,000 to financially help survivors of human trafficking in rebuilding their lives. This 'RAKSHA BANDHAN', chique is taking the age-old tradition where a brother takes a vow to protect his sister just one step further. We, as a proud women owned and women run organization are taking the vow to protect our children, sisters and our brothers in need.

THE WHY:

According to the 2020 UNODC Global Report on human trafficking, there are over 100,000 cases each year! Overall, 50 percent of detected victims were trafficked for sexual exploitation and 38 percent for forced labour, while 6 percent were subjected to forced criminal activity and more than one per cent to begging. It is 2021 and these social issues (among so many others) are still in existence.

THE HOW:

A portion of every sale of the Rakhi Bracelet will be donated to the ALLY GLOBAL FOUNDATION. ALLY GLOBAL FOUNDATION works to prevent human trafficking and support survivors through safe homes, education and work opportunities. The goal is to provide them with some financial assistance to reach safety and rebuild their lives.

In partnership with the ALLY GLOBAL FOUNDATION, we are aiming to help survivors return their lives back and secure the start of their new life.

Every sale helps a person in need.

THE GOAL

We are aiming to sell 250 of these bracelets prior to August 22, 2021 which is when Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated this year. We have 500 bracelets in stock and we want at least 250 wrists portraying this bracelet as a sign of solidarity towards this movement. Traditionally, when a sister ties a thread on her brother's wrist on Rakhi, he gives her money or gifts. We are urging our brothers to give this bracelet as a gift to their sisters and to the numerous sisters needing protection.

The 'Rakhi' bracelets are available in-stores at Tsawwassen mills and Guildford Town Centre and online.

ABOUT THE BRACELET

The bracelet features AAA genuine cubic zirconia crystals with 18k gold plating. It is nickel free and safe for all skin types.
