Island Pool Services Acquires Bayside Pool Company

CHESAPEAKE, Va. - Aug. 6, 2021 - PRLog -- Island Pool Services, owned by retired Norfolk Firefighter Troy Taylor, purchased Bayside Pool Company on July 29, 2021.

"When I knew it was time to sell, I set out to find another locally owned pool cleaning business with owners who value integrity and customer service," said Drew Hartell, the former owner of Bayside Pool. Troy co-founded Island Pools Services in 2009 when he was working as a Norfolk firefighter and looking for ways to someday afford his baby daughter's college tuition. Troy has since retired from the fire department to focus full-time on growing Island Pool Services, for which he is now the sole owner. Today, Island Pool Services has 10 employees and the company is a member of The Association of Pool and Spa Professionals, the leading pool and spa association.
