Lou Johnson Named International Publishing Director At Mango Publishing Group

Johnson will develop Mango Publishing Group's international programs, beginning in Australia and New Zealand. She will be building teams that leverage the company's predictive title analytics, in-market editorial expertise, and sales analytics in a number of key markets around the world. Based out of Sydney, she will also oversee Mango's growing partnership with Booktopia (https://www.booktopia.com.au/), which exclusively distributes Mango Publishing Group titles in Australia and New Zealand.

Johnson was most recently Publishing Director at Murdoch Books, a division of Allen & Unwin, Australia's largest independent book publisher. She had previously held senior roles across leading publishing houses, including Managing Director for Simon and Schuster (Australia), and founded and sold her own publishing start-up before joining Murdoch Books in 2016. She has also represented the industry through the Australian Book Industry Collaborative Council and as Vice President of the Australian Publishers Association.
