CompServ Health - How to Fight Anxiety?

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - July 29, 2021 - PRLog -- Everyone happens to feel nervous, agitated or worried about something from time to time. The problem arises when the feeling of anxiety persists over time, worsens in intensity and perhaps leads to avoiding certain situations in order not to experience that annoying and unpleasant sensation.

In any case, of whatever entity the state of anxiety, more or less severe, it is possible to learn to manage it first of all by recognizing the physical sensations that precede and characterize it, accepting it as its own weakness and acquiring techniques to cope with it, avoiding it spreads like wildfire in our lives, interfering with work, school, relationships with friends and family.

Normal Anxiety and Pathological Anxiety

Anxiety in itself is not harmful but it is an emotion that, although sometimes unpleasant, often turns out to be useful. A certain degree of anxiety, if not excessive, helps you to escape from danger (for example, the arrival of a car at full speed while you are crossing) or to face some activities that require commitment, concentration and attention (such as taking an exam, go on a first date with someone you are interested in, have a job interview).

Conversely, excessive anxiety impairs any kind of performance because the anxious person focuses on the physical symptoms they are experiencing rather than the task, feels the urge to flee, and only ends up making mistakes more easily.

If you realize that you can no longer tolerate anxiety in some situations or you feel a continuous state of alert that interferes with your daily routine and causes you to give up important things, then it is good to learn some remedies to overcome it.
